Bonnie Hunter 2023-24 Mystery -- Indigo Way
#481
I changed a couple of things -- colors, turned the center blocks for the stars because I like them better with the reds touching, and I used the same fabric as a border that I fussy-cut for the centers of the other blocks. I made a bed runner size instead of the full pattern.
Edit: I tried to add a pic, but haven't figured out how yet.

Here is my completed Indigo Way! I only made half of the units for this and it came out great. The only change I made was the flying geese are turned. I did not like the red against the real dark navy I used in the border above it, I felt the blue was better!

Susan -- I would also love to see a picture of your project/progress. Let us know what help you need to post, it took me (off and on) over a year to figure out my issues...
JeanieG -- Woohoo! Nice finish. I bet it feels good
As for me, I (finally) put the borders on. Everything on my top is pretty much as designed, I think this is my "closest to Bonnie's" yet, with no changes in fabrics or design. Usually my quilts all have a specific song attached -- this time no, but I know the 5 CDs in the small player, so thanks to Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Jim Stenman and Aaron Neville.
Next year I am determined to use cream-tan as the neutral because I have quite a bit of that. Still trying to not buy fabric but other than leftovers from what I bought for this project I surely don't have much white background or White on White left in my stash.

This is another attempt to post my finished version of Indigo Way. I was disappointed in my color choices at first as the design seemed to get lost, but I've grown to like it as time goes on. I love the pattern, the process and the opportunity to connect with others.
