I love your fabrics, Irish! The teal and pink are beautiful.

Here is my clue 5, coming in just under the wire!

I too agree with the old thread for all the information there. I have already spent some time looking through some of it. Looking forward to tomorrow's clue, excited to see what we do with the other colors.

PamH, I did know about the 4 method of making hst, but seldom ever use it. The 4 method leaves your outer edges on the bias, not the end of the world if you are aware and treat it accordingly, but the 8 and 2 methods have straight of grain outside edges so I usually do one of those two.

Been checking Quiltville to see if the clue might be up early... but nope. I saw where she had said we would have the reveal "sometime in January"... so it won't be tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I've done the first two clues of the Merry Mayhem New Year's Day mystery quilt. The first clue is just fabric prep and cutting. If you sign up for emails, she sends you the second clue as an early bonus. So I have that second clue done now. The rest will appear hourly on New Year's Day and disappear on Jan 2.

I went through a good bunch of my scraps for that one! Yay...

Thanks for the link, pennycandy! I am glad that today isn't the reveal, I'm enjoying this too much. Like someone described it on FB, every Friday is like Christmas to us MQ quilters
I'm so excited about bringing in another color too!

You're welcome NZ. Sometimes it takes a while for the link to show up on Bonnie's blog. I'm glad today isn't the reveal also. I prefer this slower pace so that I have time to finish each clue before the next is revealed. As much as I love purple, yes I am so glad we have another color to work with.

I gotta go to a continuing ed class for work today, to be reminded how to save lives, so no sewing for me until later.
