Siodach would you be offended if I borrowed your idea? I "drew" it out on my picture and like it so much better. (my mouse drawing skills are quite lacking but here is the idea anyway)

Well, I did not like the yellow that matched hers, so tried something more subdued. I also did not care for the 4 patch in the middle, I think I will go with one of the dark purples to contrast with the lavenders. Here is a photo of what I think I'll use. Suggestions please!!!

Wow, everyone has been busy today. I love all the colors and layouts. You can go anywhere with this quilt! Kass, love both of your layouts.

I have figured out some numbers... I made exactly half the clues throughout the mystery and then decided to do a 3x3 layout. I also decided not to do the second neutral border. So... if you are in the same boat as me, my numbers might help you. These are what I had to make in order to do a 3x3 layout without a second border, having half the clue amounts already made:

    4 more magenta/neutral tri recs (64 total),
    8 more purple/neutral tri recs (48 total),
(had enough neutral 4 patches made... (61 total),
    4 more purple/neutral HSTs (36 total),
4 more QSTs with lavender (36 total),
(had enough purple 4 patches made... (96 total),
36 QSTs with yellow (36 total),
    9 sets of 4 yellow 3.5" squares.

Then I will assemble 9 big blocks, 12 sashing units, and 24 neutral double 4 patch units.

Here's my first block and sashing unit. I used yellow after all...

Looking good, Jeanie... that purple looks good in the middle.

Jeanie, I like your layout. I think the pattern shows up better with smaller prints. I'm not loving mine as much as I did Celtic Solstice and Allietare.

Of course I don't mind! Your blocks look lovely.
