Carol, your constant is beautiful. I think there are going to be a wide range of values and brightness that work well in the constant.
Sheep Farmer, what beautiful neutrals, and the other fabrics as well. I wonder if all of those are meant to be purples, and you need to still find a magenta?

GramE, thank you for the encouragement. I agree, there are times I want to give a thumbs up or like to posts. Taking a break and will get back to finishing. I figure if I get 33 blocks a day over the next three days I will be ready for Friday's clue.

I think most everyone on this Board is whipping through Clue 2, but I saw on the Facebook Blog there are LOTS of folks having trouble with it. So I took some photos of each of the steps as I sewed a unit and posted it there. Just in case we have some beginners 'lurking' here as well, I thought I would post it here too if it will be helpful!

I think I see where my problem is...thanks for the pictures! I'll try a few more and if that doesn't work I'm going to paper piece them!

Glad the photos helped some of you! It looks like my post on Bonnie's Quiltville page was removed, so I must have done something wrong by posting them. But never got a note from the admin that I violated the rules. Oh well, no good deed goes unpunished I guess!

Yeah, I had all the fabrics stacked up according to color and I had one paint swatch left (magenta).
So I pulled a few of the fabrics from the purple stash that matched the magenta. I need to go back to the fabric requirements to see how much of the magenta we need for this mystery and see if I have it.
Right now I'm still working on the four patches and have not even had a chance to look ahead.

I just went back to the Whittles site and they do not include the constant in the bundle. They have some suggestions for the constant in yardage that you buy separately. THANK YOU, Joe's Mom for bringing that to my attention!!!
Well, it looks like I'm gonna be buying more fabric! LOL

Yippee! I have 50 done and the rest cut out ready to do tomorrow. Once I saw pictures, started sewing from the bottom to top and top to bottom and the other suggestions they are going so fast now. Jeanne, not sure why your post was taken down but it was a real help. I saw it on the FB site too.

Thanks for that reminder; I didn't use starch this time, but will be in the future. This site is wonderful with all the expert advice and encouragement.
