Bonnie Hunter Winter Mystery 2022-2023: Chilhowie

On the year we did Ringo Lake I happily went along making all the clues. On the final clue/reveal I finished up the clues....loved the quilt, walked across the room to the working wall and started playing. This is what the mystery was

This is what I came up with. Had to make a few more 9 patches, and had flying geese left over. I call it Not Ringo Lake
I share this because we can make anything with our blocks, even if we quit mid-mystery.
The reverse side is made up of recycled men's shirts, most blocks that began as a plan and fell by the wayside. (all my quilts are double-sided, saves storage space, saves on batting, saves on quilting)
I'm working on BitCoin between clues, more scraps used up, morphing into things of beauty.

mine is blues/yellows, and light neutrals.

I remember your beautiful quilt, Kalama! Especially the amazing back made out of pieced men's shirt plaids. What a beauty it is! I made major changes to mine too, so it's also a Not Ringo. I used orange and royal blue (don't knock it til you try it!), set it straight rather than on point, and put my own choice of a twisty border around it. I love it!
