Beautiful block, Janice! Those are happy colors.

I like the reveal, but I think I might like it better in a straight setting, as you see it in the photograph on her blog. The border is really nice, too.

So, haven't started anything yet but I've got all the clues. Maybe seeing your finishes will inspire me to start.

Here is the link for the 7th and final clue from today: https://quiltville.com/pdf/Chilhowie7_Reveal_merged.pdf

it is a beautiful quilt. I like that it is.p a straight setting that just looks, like it is set on point. No difficult measurements needed.

Many people were arranging their blocks on point on Open Studio, I imagine some will do it that way.

I’m excited. This seems like a lot. One bite at a time. It will happen.

I’m finishing up a quarter of the blocks today. I planned to make a half size quilt but might just stick with what I have, alter the setting and leave it as a wall hanging. We’ll see as I sew up what I’ve cut so far. I’m almost through part 6.

I have cut all the sashing pieces and assembled first row….then we lost power! Lololol…oh well…gave me an opportunity to clean sewing room and reorganize…start cutting for inner border…fold a load of towels…Power came back on in 30 mins.. Lots of mindless sewing with the final work so I’ll work on it over weekend…

A few days ago, I started an applique quilt…I am excited to work more on this so getting mystery out of the way and to LA’er is my goal this week.

Super excited to see all of the finishes…

I like the straight setting, too, sewbiz. I think this pattern would be really cool in patriotic colors so I may do this pattern again. Red, white, blue, gold….star burst remind me of fireworks..

I'm working on the sashings now. I decided to use plain white fabric between the blocks to give my eye a place to rest. I only worked on one row yesterday but now that I have a plan I hope to get more done today.
