I have all clue #1 finished & have spent this rainy GA Saturday going through stash & ironing fabric to start clue #2.
On Ringo Lake is up on design wall - I’ve been working on sashing- daughter-in-law saw it & “that,s Beautiful” came out so even though I was trying to keep it 1/2 size, I have forged on & am almost finished with the last 25 blocks to make it the size Bonnie has.
    Thanks for starting this thread.

I'm doing better. I watched Donna Jordan press some strips she had sewn together, but she kept them straight, not wavy or curved like mine were. It helps to watch someone else do it right.

Don't worry joe'smom, you just presewed for accuracy. At least that's what I call it. I'm done with clue 2, I paperpieced all those HST's.

    welcome home mimi!

Battleaxe curves in strips mean the feed dogs are doing the job too well, they need a hand from you
Make sure each strip is same as the others. Or that the border is the same length.
You can pin if you want. Because I already know they will come out right I use my right hand to pinch the strips together as they go through the machine. When that bit gets through I stop, pick up the strip about 12-18" back and do the same again.

Like making 9 patches to check accuracy, you can take a couple of equal scrap strips, sew them without any guidance, then sew another set minding that feed dog pull. You will see the difference
LIfe is good, proceed with vigor ~

I took the advise of others yesterday and checked my work and found that my half square's were not measuring to the prescribed inches. I switched machines, feet, and carefully watched my cuttings. It took awhile but when I hit on the right method, well I now have 180 done--I am doing half the size of Bonnie's. It felt so good completing them all and knowing they are correct.

Now, on to Christmas presents. Thanks Guys for your help and for sharing your advise.

I think you area correct. When I get down to the end of one of the Clue # 1, the feed dogs begin to pull it to the side. I've tried pinning and that sure slows me down, I've tried hanging on to it better and got some numbness in my hand. My latest remedy to to cut much bigger and trim lots. Getting close to being done with # 1 and have a good start on # 2. When do we get # 3???

I've got #2 cut and ready to sew.

These are on my ironing board and the stripes in the cover are just stripes - not measurements of any sort.

    Here is clue #1

I have made one of Bonnie Hunter's quilts and I liked it. Called Garden Party. I would like to make this 2018-2019 Mystery Quilt but do not know how to sign up for it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Macybaby, did you cut that on an AcQ Go! or by hand? You certainly have some stamina and strong will. I would have jumped in and sewed several dozen just because they were cut. I love to put the cart in front of the horse. Your fabrics are wonderful.
