That's a pretty unit! This week should give some opportunities for catch-up.

Bonnie mentioned that it's about to get crazy in the Mystery department -- I wonder what that means, LOL.

I have the Accuquilt die # 55009. Do you think I can use that to cut my blues?

Yes, that is what I will be using, and 55396-3 for orange and white.

I'm going to use my Tucker Trimmer to make these units. The instructions give you the mirror image that you need to have the orange on opposite sides.

First 4 of clue 5 finished! Yay.

I have a few strips already cut so I can use Bonnie's method but for some of these.
For most though, I'll use already cut squares from my stash, make 2 HSTs (orange/neutral) then sew a blue square to each of those to get these units.

Is it me or do these units seem HUGE compared to everything else we've been sewing? HAHA.

Clue 5 is a nice one - I have my pieces cut and ready to sew already!

Yeah! Finally a clue that combines colors. I love AmyBible's colors. The look more like her other Mystery quilts with mixed colors instead of neutral/color units. This will be a fun one, I am itching to start after Christmas.

I'm cutting just two or four layers at a time for the orange/neutral. I'm telling myself it is to make the clue last. I know, fall down laughing, even retired and not really doing christmas I've never kept up yet

thank you everyone for sharing your journeys. Our reveals are going to be eye-popping I think!

Thanks mariposa & toverly --
Good job quiltingvagabond getting your units finished. I had almost half of the units finished then decided I didn't like some of my yellows (Bonnie's orange) so I'm re-doing them. The other half is cut but not sewn but I hope to get them all finished this weekend.

I think we've made all the units and the next clue we'll start putting blocks together.

I have been hoarding this bolt of blue berry fabric for about 10 years. But it is about time to use up some of this stash. I made all the blues this blue berry, but have a variety of oranges and neutrals
