Love it Battle Axe. The light and dark in the blueberries should be striking.

Great blueberry fabric Battle Axe. It should go well in this quilt with it's neutrals and colors. I'm using for the neutrals a fabric that I had been holding onto a bolt for about 5 years now. It feels good to get it out from under my sewing table and use it.

Toverly, I am finding the longer I quilt the easier it is to use fabrics I have been saving for a rainy day. If I dont I "lose" them in my stash and then am finding them years later and wondering why I didnt make something out of them.

I don't have a Loews by me. I am having a hard time trying to figure out which colors are being used for the quilt?

    the fabric list
    http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2018/...e-mystery.html

scroll down for the colors w/their paint chips. Unless you have a really old computer the colors should be true on your screen.
There are several things different this year, her neutrals are all on the light side, and the colors are all bold, and there is no 'constant' to pull everything together. I'm assuming the neutrals do that.

She encourages you to use your own choices if you don't care for hers, no problem. Just make your choices bold, so they show up in the finished block.

And of course the one LAW...share them on here
love your little Pom, mine has been gone five years now and I miss her every day

craft, think basic crayon colors: blue, orange, green, red and a neutral that runs between beige and white.

Sandra-P, you are so right. In the past, I have purchased bolts of fabric that I love and I will save them, pet them, hoard them. Finally, I made a point to go thru my fabrics first and they have been disappearing. The only bolts I keep now are my Northcott whites.

Every Mystery I buy another Accuquilt die so that one day I will be able to go through them and find the ones I need. That happened yesterday! I have both of the numbers and have cut evertything. I used several neutrals and oranges but just got carried away with the blue berry blue. Does anyone need some of that for a project.......I'll share.

However....despite the perfect cutting my old seam allowance doubts have crept in. I've taken a few out already. I bought a calliper to try to find out an exact number for a scant quarter inch seam. Looks like its so many of those little bitty marks.

AmyBible your clue 5 is beautiful. Wonderful job on the clue 4 everyone.

I am off to a great start...I cut out 88 units that are HST My 3 1/2" strips give me triangles that are too big. Today is a new day and I am re-cutting stips and cutting out the triangles.

I haven’t had a chance to post on this thread yet because I hadn’t finished anything. I have never done a Mystery quilt before, my fabric supply feels low for this. I am not sure when I will be able to work on Clue #5 but wanted to post my progress so far and I am not sure I remember how!
