    Lovely units being shown.

Macybaby: Congratulations on finishing your top. It is lovely. I need to take time to practice with the embroidery part of my second machine so I can do like you did- run the embroidery design on one and sew on the other while it is getting finished.

I did not fret about points at all - it would have been crazy time consuming to try real hard to match every point. This quilt is so busy with colors all over the place that they aren't going to be noticed.

For the borders, I sewed the neutral pieced strips to the outer border (leaving the ends open) and then sewed that as a unit to the quilt. I matched up the center points and the stretched it to get it lined up at the quarter marks and then sewed it to the quilt. Then after it was on I went back and finished the seams to close up the corners.

    Ha ha.. same here, sister!

I have to admit I don't "love" this quilt... the colors are just not me, but I had decided to follow the color scheme... at least my niece will have a really cool quilt with a ton of piecework in it for her birthday. Unless I don't get the borders and quilting done in time... then she'll have a cool quilt at some point.

I have the center together... gotta get the borders... I don't "love" it... hoping the borders help... the colors are just too vibrant for me. Either way, my niece will love it and it has become a gift for her.

Very striking, lora3677. I bet your niece will love it.

I am preferring the ones that highlight the star block as yours does. I really enjoy this period of time in the mystery when the photos are pouring out, to try and understand the pattern better. Actually, I think I've spent more time looking at results on Quiltville than sewing, LOL. Better get to work.

Very pretty Lora. I like your single block layout JENNR8R.
I happily finished my final border and love this mystery quilt!

It looks great Tweety! How are you going to quilt it? I have no clue how to quilt mine.

lora3677, the top looks great, your niece will just love it.

    Tweety2911, fantastic finish.

I'm still working on clue 7, almost finished with that clue. I do have one spinning star block and one of the orange strings block done. I would have more spinning star blocks but I sewed some of the HST units onto the chevrons upside down ................ <sigh> another date with Jack <sigh>

Wonderful finish Tweety, love the rectangle instead of the square. Good job.
