I am a glutton for punishment and will be making mine to fit my king size bed. I absolutely love the reveal!

If I'm reading correctly the blue geese are the only place where green was used. I think neutrals are the only thing we still need to cut.

ETA, my bad, we are cutting blues too. I'm reading for expanding my quilt, not yet for comprehension lol

    happylab, I believe yes.

I looked at the reveal first thing this morning and it looked incredibly daunting!
I need to really look at it. Need more coffee lol

Since my pinwheels and FG don't match I have some work to do. Glad I have the fabric.

The Reveal: wow. Colorful. Cannot wait to see everyone's quilt put together. I will tag along at the end and reveal my 3 quilts all made with different fabric. Exciting news, like Christmas is coming!

QNinaSue, I didn't realize you were making 3 versions!

Since I went looking for guess layouts on instagram, I was prepared for the star block, which I think is lovely with the matched sets. (This is where I thought people who have a darker aqua might not be pleased.) But who on earth could have figured out the rest, LOL.

Maybe those wanting more green could make some more HSTs for the border? We're bound to see many interesting variations taking shape in the days to come!

This 'clue' is going to take forever to digest so I'm going to feed the dogs and come back and print it out later

Woke up to freezing precipitation. Was suppose to get snow first, but if we did it was barely anything. This should last until about 3pm. Then hopefully it all turns to rain and our roads improve. I received a message stating KCI had a plane slide on the runway. Haven’t heard nothing on the news. So I guess this is a great day to work on Frolic.

Thank-you armybandvet for answering and double checking my green question. I may have enough fabric to do that step in one fabric color of green.

I really like the reveal. I love the colors and the pattern. Thank-you Bonnie you did a great job, (if you ever read this).

One last question. I recently saw directions showing us how to make flying geese with 3 different colors. Does anyone remember or know how to do that. It’s the method where you complete 4 flying geese at a time? No waste of fabric, until we trim.

    Happy sewing everyone!!!!!

    Happy lab,
wouldn't you use two different colours for the small squares that go onthe one large square for the no waste FG method?

Okay, I've had more coffee and I've stared at the directions and reveal photo and I'm going to do this exactly as she says, one step/one set of fabrics at a time. First will be cutting all my neutrals (or yellow in my case), I'm off to a good start because I have a bunch of squares from when I had one of my imaginary numbers in my head and cut too many in a previous step. They will have to be trimmed down but I've had them sitting to one side of the cutting board ever since I over cut them. Also have a lot of little strips that are within the size range and good for scrappy since they don't have to be in sets.

Realistically, getting my neutrals together is as much as I feel like doing today. Maybe actually turn on the sewing machine/maybe not.

I was entirely wrong in my head on how I thought we'd be using those neutral/framboise rectangles. That's why it's a mystery!

I’m thinking I’m going to be a rebel and not put the blocks on point. I like the look of it better staying square

I finally got my computer hooked up in our new home - just in time to download all the parts so I can make this in the future. I've so missed playing along this year, but my machines are still packed up! The weather isn't nice enough to make the trip to the old place for cleaning and such, so maybe I'll have a bit more time to organize things at the new place!

I am so ready to be sewing again.
