Iceblossom, thank you for all the details for posting pictures. I hope my pictures now come through ok. I have finally finished frolic and the pieced backing. This is huge - 113 x 113 and it will go to the LA quilter soon - if she is willing to take curb-side drop offs. Now I get to spend tomorrow putting away all these fabric and think of the next project.

Oh I love your dark sashing! And the border treatment. Thanks so much for getting the pictures in.

I saw Bonnie is offering a project for during lock down but I have decided no way, not right now! I've finally gotten out of the "hangover" I had from Frolic!

I'm happy with my super bright project -- happy it's done. But I'm glad I did it.

Carol, congratulations on a wonderful finish! It looks like you put lots of work into the backing, too!

    Carol,

I love it! Your dark sashings really set off the colors, very dramatic! Congratulations on finishing it, be sure to show us again when it’s all quilted.

Carol: Awewsome top and backing! Congratulations on getting the pictures to load.

Iceblossom: I started Bonnie Hunter’s Unity quilt. We will be assembling it as we go if I understood correctly. I won’t make it as long as hers so I will probably need to stop before the end or make all of the units and use them in something else.

    Half block confusion......

So I’m at “that stage” and in looking back at all the instructions no where did it tell me to make more than required clue 8, yet it appears that I will need more than what’s called for? What am I missing here? Did I miss a step? I did keep up all the way to the end yet I’m lost. All of clue 8 was used and I have no extras needed for the half blocks, I’m stumped!

Tallchick, I was so careful not to use numbers in this thread, but there is one of the steps where it is only mentioned briefly about having one set of completed blocks, and one set of partial blocks. The clue came out in early February, I think we start discussing it around pages 120-130 in this thread. I think Joe's Mom was the first to that step. I know finding out how many unused partial parts bothered me -- so I solved that by making more and that's how I ended up with the 9 blocks I used in the back.

There was Set A and Set B -- the two groups of units/pieces we ended up with. Set B should contain the pieces needed to construct those extra tri-colored geese.
