Oh heck ... you might as well order your fabric ... you'll use it sometime, if not for Insanity!
Or you could always give it to DDD ..... so you can steal it back again!

Yes Yes Yes Anael that is it, thank you.

So any opinions on using that fabric range or similar for Insanity, I am not going to call it Nearly Insane cause I think IF I decide to make this I will have tipped over the edge I still have some Civil War fabrics left over from Farmers Wife that could be used also.

Just a thought in my little brain at this moment, don't anyone get too excited..

Mirabelle--if you are interested, I can take a couple pictures of the 2 or 3 FQ bundles we have at the LQS where I work....of Civil War fabrics. I know there is one with Jo Morton only. I can't remember right now how many in each bundle or how much, but can email you privately if you are interested in more details...I'll be going to the shop later this week (probably Thursday)....I don't work this week, but DS got hired to mow the lawn there so weather permitting we go in once a week to get that done.

See what happens - QuiltE plants a seed and it eventually takes root.

Here's a picture of my DJ blocks. It's an excel sheet as I don't have a design wall big enough for all the blocks.

    Hello all ...

QuiltE your blues are looking marvelous! I can't decide which I like the best. I do like how you made the birds "spin"!!

MaryK ... hand piecing a DJ? Wow. You're my hero!! The blocks look lovely!!

Anael .... Beautiful assortment so far. Love that you are doing the triangles as well.

I too am STILL contemplating the jump to a DJ. It's exactly what I love to do, make different blocks (making the same block over and over bores me, and I adore small work!!). My problem is choosing fabric. I know what I want, but I can't source it locally (I'm looking for Kaffe Fasset shot cottons). Still looking.

In the mean time, I'll keep an eye on the DJ's going on here. Great work everyone!!!

Yinz are making me feel like such a slacker!! Those blocks are all so beautiful--my favorite? Couldn't pick one. Hey, I did get 2 DJs done so far this month. I think I have 14 (she says with a red face). Keep the inspiration coming or maybe send me a swift kick in the butt.
