No it's the sewing gremlins that have done that

Well we agree about one thing ... MaryK certainly does outstanding work. I have to disagree about Salmon in general though, yuch on the plate, gorgeous in the water

    GardenGal & Honchy

It is I that will be making DJ with Kaffe Fasset shot cottons.

As for the quality. It's not as heavy as some LQS cottons, but I wouldn't call it flimsy either. It's not as thin as a lawn. It has a beautiful hand and drape. The individual threads are of good quality and weight, but the thread count is a bit looser than most cottons - evidenced by the fact that there is a bit more "give" in the LOF than most fabrics. It did improve with a wash and dry. The weave tightened up a bit but it still retained it's lovely silky hand.

I'm going to make a practice block with a light color and a dark color. I'm hoping that I don't have a problem with dark seams showing on a light background as with these blocks (especially the PP blocks) I can't assume that I'll always be pressing to the dark side.

Tonight I am playing with the placement of the blocks. Tedious work.

Honchey ... you mentioned that the Shots were all darks. I have seen a lot of lights too. It could be that your store is only selling a limited number as the Kaffe line has a huge number in it.

DHMom ... I am sure you will like working with the Shots. It will just seem a bit different compared to some of the heavier cottons. Although, sometimes I think some of the heavy ones, are just too heavy, especially when mixed in with others that aren't quite so.

OKSGlad ... sure, blame the gremlins! Or are you joining me with alzheimers?
