I really can`t remember sorry.....do you really think you`ll need more than 5 meters for the background??/

HuntA ... I like it ... though I know we need a lot more than 5 metres and want to know I have all in hand before I start. I can remember seeing a similar one though I think it was in blues ... no idea where. I seem to remember it as a very solid fabric (as in not wimpy and thin). Any clue on your end where yours came from?

I don't want to scare you but ........
(scroll down to How much background do I need?)
    http://www.dearjane.com/newbie_info.htm

I've also seen the same scary number other places where I have been reading!
YIKES, eh? ... and of course, I will be PPing, so I am looking at the upper number.
    YIKES, again!

On the upside, I am thinking that if I fizzle out with a Baby Jane ... at least it is a basic fabric for which I could find lots of other uses.

Or go scrappy and have an assortment of background fabrics?
I have contemplated that ... I just don't want plain white or cream or TOT versions of them. Though it would be a good way to use stash.

How does yours coordinate with the speckle you showed me?
    Maybe use both?

you might be right about the speckle from FLand....I `m sure bought it this past year...the quality is pretty darn good.....I was also thinking I saw a really nice backing fabric at FL that might work...I have some of it.....it is not speckles but I think would be perfect.... I bought a green of the same fabric and is on one of my quilts now. I`ll try and take a photo of it......since background fabric is so wide you might be able to buy less meters ....I know it is expensive but if you can get it at the 50% off for members day it wouldn`t be too much.....

I've been thinking of FLand ... not a member right now, but it would be worth joining to get the knockdown price.
Yes, please photo and tempt me!
The Guelph store is pretty good with quilting fabrics. Orangeville disastrous!
