NZquilter, that chicken toy is a cuty. My 3 yr old granddaughter walks around the yard carrying real live Rhode island red full sized chickens. She won't leave them alone. I am so afraid one will peck her eye out. Maybe she needs a toy chicken like you made. (really , I cant believe the chickens don't run away from her, but they let her pick them up! Crazy chickens! LOL.

    Mandyrose, I love the fence!!!!!!

Oh well, my quilt will be eye-searing when finished for sure LOL.

I have plenty of rick-rack because I'm also a garment sewer. Couldn't decide what shade of pink to use for her tail, so I wove two colors together and gave her a funky tail. I love it!

I'm really enjoying looking at everyone's piggies!!

Why not call her Pork Rind bc she fried in the sun, lol?

Love that stuffed toy hen NZQuilter. My bee is named the Red Hens, I would love to make a few to take to members when they are sick or in the hospital. I may have to "wing it" and copy your idea. Thank you for posting, I'm hoping a chicken block is in our future also. It's so hard to wait till the first of the month.

Toverly, I used the McCall's pattern #6322. I found it years ago at a thrift store, before I was married. My dream was always to make homemade gifts for my future children so I collected a lot of toy patterns. It feels great to be making that dream come true.

Mandyrose, the fence is so creative! I love it.

I'm looking forward to our next block next Friday!

Thanks for the number, NZquilter. You never know whats there to find in thrift stores. I love them too. Always on the hunt for that elusive little black featherweight box.
