    I pieced together a few rails and X's to see how they would look as the fencing. The fence is brown wood grain and the middle is light green looking grass. It's just sitting around the block not attached yet. What do you all think?

    It looks like a real fence. Great choice. I'm not sure I want that much brown in my quilt. But this looks very realistic.

    lawsonmugs, your fencing looks great. And, the light green makes your piggy look like she's surrounded by pasture. Great job! Now you can work on your fencing while you wait for the blocks to come out. And, the fabric you chose for the fencing looks so much like woodgrain. It's a perfect compliment.

    Thank you. I wasn't sure either about so much brown. They do have a light grayish wood grain too. But I already bought this. It also looks darker in the picture than what it really is.
