I love those design walls to play on. Wish I had room for one in my house, but I don't.

    Great Swoon-In-Progress, Judy!

Oops... my mistake! I don't know why I was thinking it was finished. They don't get their 'swoony' look really, until the last round of 9 patches goes on.

Jane, this IS a fun one. I like that we can all go at our own pace and mix it up a bit as we choose. No quilting police here! Thank you.

Someone asked asked earlier if this concept could applied to other quilt blocks. Yes it can! Ever since I first saw the Giant scrappy swoon, I have looked at other star blocks differently and considered how I would enlarge them and I have one or two ideas rattling around.

I would love to see what others do with this idea.

Here's my progress. I traded fabric with the same person that traded with Jane. Now that my term is finished I hope to do a lot before Summer term starts!

Here's mine, showing steps 1 -3 and step 5. I've still got several more step 4 pieces to finish over the weekend. I'm pretty darn satisfied with the way it's turning out.

Two beauties in blues and yellows, Givio and Janice. That's such a great color combo. I have some of that yellow fabric with the ruby slippers on it, too. I think I got it in the I Spy swap. So cute.

Givio and Janice really like the way your yellows and blues play together. Love how everyone has chosen the color families for this fun project

I like blue and yellow together-- but I'm actually going to use hot colors for the secondary choice, that's why I put the touches of red and orange in that step. :-)

Done except for a border. Thinking red and backing in blue and binding in white
