I worked it out but as I read the counts of others who are NOT doing the big one-my counts are very different.... any body want to jump in and let me know what their counts are ?? I hope this makes sense and it should be easy until I start reading other peoples "counts" ! *sigh*
If you are making a half size, make only 50% of the blocks. If you are making a quarter size, just do 25% of the blocks. You will no doubt have to make adjustments at the end when you put together your final layout, but you can start with those numbers.

I am doing a big rectangle, as long as Bonnie's square (88" ) but only 3/4 as wide, or roughly 66" wide. I am making 75% of the blocks she is, for starters. I will probably need a little more once I see how I can lay it out.

I must admit to being a bit lazy as my scrap bag, which is enormous is so mixed up that I just cannot stand the idea of trying to sort through it for such a big project, I am aiming at doing quilt a large quilt but not quite as big as Bonnie's, umm I think What I have done is top up my stash with some colours I don't have a lot of, which happened to be most of them. Neutrals funny enough I am OK for as I am always buying end of bolts and when on special offers, and as I am so fond of using blacks I have plenty of those, pinks I was short of as I use so many of them and I also had to buy some greens/blues and the yellow as they are not colours I don't use a lot of, don't have a clue why as the colour combinations in Bonnie's MQ is great. Part of the fun of doing a MQ I suppose, this is my first one and although I have made hundreds of quilts, literally, a lot have been quick and easy ones as I make them for Project linus and other charities, so this one is a special treat just for me.

As I live on my own, and shall be on my own at Christmas I am am indulging myself and put all other UFOs aside and concentrating on this special quilt which will just for me, ohh I'm selfish

I'm still piecing clue #2. I want to finish all of them before I move on. Clue #3 is easy enough that I can either just make a few to "be there" or come back to them after Clue #4.

I just really want to finish all of #2.

Some of you are questioning fabric amounts and I saw this blog while looking through the link up, she posts how much she used on step 3, I don't know if she's correct or not and didn't look to see if she gave postings about the 1st two steps, but here's her blog so you can see how many strips she cut for #3. (might be right or not?) http://susansquiltcreations.blogspot...ion-quilt.html
