EMMA.....from clear across the country.....hummm....probably not......what it is is your artistically inspired sense of color choices during fabric acquisition.
Friday better get here soon

Emma - love your backing fabric.
Joe's mom - your blocks look GREAT together!! I went with continuous white, black and yellow because I've never done something so scrappy before. I have not chosen wisely. I should have gone out of the box more. Yours will be beautiful!
Quick story. Yesterday finally sat down to finish clue #3. Love the chain piecing but it seemed to go on forever!! I bought extra fabric of the yellow, white and black since they were going to be my constants. Well, I've gone through my studio, my stash, my UFOs, my PIGs and cannot find either the white or the black! i was able to find the white on line but not the black, so I ordered something that looks close, so my black will be more scrappy than I intended, starting with Clue #4. Sigh. So yesterday I went through and was recounting previous blocks to ensure that I had, in fact, done the right number. I was short one block set from Clue #2! Aaarrgghh - of course it uses the white and the black that I am out of. I was talking to myself up a storm, trying to figure out what to do. I walked away and came back after a snack (a snack always helps!), and recounted again. Two of my block sets were stuck together, so I actually had the right amount. Phew!!

Sunliten Sue: I don't think its as much my artistic sensibilities as it is my conspicuous consumption. If you have hundreds, probably thousands of yards of fabric its hard not to have the right colors.
Michelle Glad you found that missing block. Although with B's designs you never could spot the odd ball. Bet you put the black and white somewhere out of the way where you could easily lay your hands on it.

Michelleoc, I do things like that all the time too. I'd make a terrible bank teller!
I ordered more of my constant neutral because I realized I didn't have enough when I started. I hope it gets here today so I'll have it tomorrow morning.

I finally finished clue #2. I'm only doing 1/2 the blocks so that's 50 which was quite enough! Funny thing, I came up one short on clue #1 AND clue #2. I decided to wait and see what I need before making more. Now to re-read and start on clue #3. So glad to get those diamonds out of the way and move on to squares!

I'm still working on clue 2 (maybe half done) but I did the flowers for a family wedding last Saturday and they were in the Clue 3 colors (does that count??).....attached is the bridal bouquet. I am hoping to get caught up this weekend as I have a 3 day weekend.

Thank you, michelleoc. I'm sure your choices will look beautiful, as well! Did you have that fabulous dot as your white? I can't wait to see how it looks. I am always putting things in 'the perfect place' and then can't find them when I need them.
dianeinsterling, that is so lovely!

Yeah! I have finished clue 2 and have all my strips sewn together for clue 3. Hoping to finish 3 today as my sister is coming in this weekend so it's time to clean house. Don't think I'll get much sewing done when she's here so I know I will fall behind but will catch up when she goes home. Haven't seen her in 3 yeasts so I'm totally excited! I also put the picture of the book covers I mad .
