I LOVED making the double diamonds. I would love to have more.

Really? Which method did you use? I need to make a lot more to replace the ones that didn't work out.

I cut my neutrals into 4.5" x 2.5" rectangles first. Then I cut the pinks and blacks with the easy angle ruler, just like we did for clue 1. I lined up the corners of the triangles with the corner of the rectangles and sewed them on. I did not cut the extra part of the rectangles away, but rather used those ends to line up the triangles when pressing. I got perfect rectangular pieces that way... then joined the two into a block.

So... I guess I'd say my method is a hybrid of versions 3 and 1.

Here... you can see in my photo (in some of my blocks) that the original corners of the neutral rectangles are still there under the pink and black corner triangles.

Found it, but had to search hard!! Would never have noticed if you hadn't told us. I NEED some of that black fabric with Christmas bulbs on it! Too cute!

That IS the method I used. Will have to try again with my little Janome. What I should do is get out my feather weight and see if I can get it running.

hummm...could be single diamond units for the last clue.....finished size 2 x 4 ....8 sq.in. divided...yep !!! could be that would be 138 units for the 88 x 88 size pieced quilt top ....several "finished size" unit divide evenly in half....not many into 1/4 size.................such a mystery !!!

my favorite guess right now is 2 x 6 make 92 units or 1/2 is 46 or 1/4 is 23

Wow, I'm amazed at how you 'sleuth' it all out! I just do what I'm told, from week to week, LOL.

So, how many clues do we have left, you think? Some are saying one more, others say three... Do we know?
