Everyone's block units look great....love all the color! I won't be able to start working on mine until Monday because I work on the weekend. Can't wait to get started on this mystery quilt.

Looking great everyone! I have my black and yellow squares cut. Used my June Taylor strip cut ruler. We are at my son's home, so enjoying the grandkids - will head home later in the week, so I may be a little behind this week in getting the step completed.

I have 22 squares done. Took me at least 8 hours. I might have to make a baby quilt since I am so pokey. Those of you doing just 1 fabric of each color will save a lot of time In both the cutting and the laying out.

How did you press your blocks? I was hoping she would tell us in the instructions what would work best.

Pam: I wondered that too because only one seam will be changeable in the whole block. Maybe that will be enough, hope so. So many pretty colors going together. I am enjoying the process of handling all of those bright, cheerful colors. A great way to deal with the gloom of late fall. I am about half done with this step, will post pictures as soon as I am done.

love absolutely love your colors emma! I think that yellow is harder to pick but if you pick it right it works. your stash works. totally. I am now thinking do I want to start another project yet? don't know but thanks for posting both swaps ladies. I like the color concept of the first swap also... variety is the spice of life. you cant always do something in the same colors or you never learn about the other colors out there!

These are my only two completed HST units, up on the wall with my yellow. I may not complete any broken dishes units this week, as I am having to rethink my blacks. I'm wondering if I will like the black better if it has more white, or possibly a touch of color, so must acquire some additional fabric. I have plenty to keep me busy, though, with these pink/blue HSTs.

    Jeank,

My mom lives in Oldsmar. Only problem is we only visit around the holidays. It would be fun.
