Here are the fabrics I have collected for the quilt. I have a ton more blacks and neutrals I can pull from, if needed.

If anyone 'sees' anything glaringly wrong, please tell me.

Now that I'm seeing it in a photo, I think the turq. with the purple on it is too light. Think I will pull it out.

    Default The Mystery!

I'm going to play along this year. Here are my original choices for fabric. Had this for over a year now. But wanted the teal, melon and green too. SO I called the shop in the upper Midwest (Quilt Heaven- Temperance MI) and the shop owner, Lois, was willing to cut & ship with a CC. YEAH Lois. I've only been in that shop once when on a vacation.
But I'm starting with these. and the shipment should be here in a few days.

I'm excited.. THANK YOU for starting a thread.

Yours are beautiful too, Jackie... what will you use for your neutrals?

I just happened to be in Lowe's this afternoon and I just happened to have the color numbers in my purse so I picked up the paint chips!
I'll have to see if I have enough scraps before I commit.

I would never think to put together the colors that Bonnie is suggesting. Guess I'll be out of my "comfort box" on this one. Someone said, "variety is the spice of life". Should be an interesting spicey journey. This will be my first BH quilt. Hope my little hardware has the color chips so that I can get started. I am, however, a little apprehensive about the black and may be subbing chocolate for it. Will see when I start pulling fabrics.

The chips are Valspar, Suz. You could call ahead and ask your store if they carry Valspar... If not, Lowes does.

I would never have thought to plan a quilt using paint chips, but it's kind of genius! Really helps when going through your stash or taking them to the fabric store.
