I have enjoyed seeing all the beautiful fabric choices and the beginning of the mystery. I am still waiting for my constant yellow to arrive in the mail from Hancock's. I ordered on Thanksgiving with a good sale going. I may need a new cutting mat but will try the soaking method first. Lately my cutting has been giving me difficulty and that may be the cause. It's an old mat and I can clearly see where it did not self heal.

I love everyone's pretty blocks. Our quilts are going to be awesome!

I would love to see some of the blocks made out of "different" colors... the substitutions. Those quilts are going to be so interesting.

If Bonnie follows what she started last week then the next clue will be here in about 16 hours!
Getting excited! It was just after midnight eastern time when she posted.

Grace: turn your mat over and use your rulers to cut on the back.

I was watching a PBS show about an estate in Scotland called Kincardine. Got excited when saw its drawing room and and dining room had pink geranium and green walls that were the colors from the grand illusion.

I have 25 'broken dishes' (doing 1/4 of quilt) and only 15 HST set aside, so I need to make 5 more to be ready for Friday....... I am following the paint chip colors as close as I can and it looks great. This is my first BH MQ but I actually have met Her and she is a delightful person. This is really lots of fun, sewing alone but knowing that people all over are doing this quilt pattern.

What happened to my aqua comment the above is what I wrote yesterday.

Ok, Lafpeaches, what I was saying (that disappeared)is that I saw an Aqua glass vase Sunday that I probably would not have looked at twice....except....it was the exact aqua of the middle paint sample. If this keeps up ...before you know it, I might like those greens without enough yellow (what my DD calls blue, her favorite color)

I just lost my post! BOO!!

Am I the only one who measures after each step? And I still have to trim sometimes. I also go through my finished blocks while putting pieces together to make sure I don't have any duplicates. Good thing I'm only making half of what BH recommends! I should have 40 blocks done by the end of the night, but I don't have any extra HST yet. All in good time!
