I finally got my book yesterday. I will not be making all of the blocks as I only want a twin size quilt. I have a quilt to finish for a graduation gift and then I hope to get started. I'm going to be behind everyone else but hopefully I will get it finished.

While I was on retreat last weekend, I noticed my machine was a little noisier than usual in the bobbin area. Upon closer look, I found that one side of the plastic bobbin race cover was loose and the rivet? that had held it in place had fallen out. With a little help from a friend, we patched it back together but as soon as I got home I ordered a replacement. Hopefully, it will come tomorrow and I can finish the rest of this month's blocks.

toverly, thanks for sharing your idea of using poster board to plan the blocks. I have about a hundred pieces of foam board in the basement, from when I was testing colors when I painted the house interior several years ago; I brought one of those up and drew a 10x10 grid on it. I like the idea of planning out all of the blocks at the start, using my fabric trimmings from straightening. And, I have my machine back!

Fabric Galore, I will be a bit behind also. I have a quilt on the design wall that just needs to get out of the way before getting started on HJ. Working on my goal of not having too many "starts" and no finishes. You will not be alone in the catching up game.
