I'm also a member of a free motion quilting group on facebook. One of the members has a page with tutorials: https://quilterontherun.com/videos
I thought this might be helpful!

Nice GW! I gave mine away with plans of making another - some day.

I started putting together the blocks for Delilah. I put them on the design wall to get basic placement and I had lots of overlap because the wall is not big enough. I didn't put the 3" blocks on the design wall. Then I took them down section at a time and started sewing them up. Had three sections left and realized I was short one 12" block! looked at the directions and they are 2, 2, 2 and 3 - I missed that I needed to make three of the last group!

So it's almost all together except for the missing block! Something to work on this weekend.

here is Delilah with the missing block. I have it folded over on the left side so it's a bit bigger than it looks. I'll be using the fabric that is the darkest green print for a border and binding.

here is the ribbon quilt - another QB member had posted a picture of her's and the link to the free pattern. She also used christmas fabric and I fell in love with it - plus I have christmas fabric to use up! Not sure if I'll do a border or not. The background is white with metalic gold leaf pattern. Hard to see in the picture.

Oh wow, I love your Delilah!!!!!!!!!! So bright and cheery!! I like the idea of the darkest green print for borders and binding.

The ribbon quilt is lovely. I think I saw the picture you mentioned.

Macybaby, those are both wonderful. Your Delilah, is just scrumptious done in KF fabrics. Love love love it. And, your ribbon quilt will look wonderful displayed during the fall season. Very nicely done!

Beautiful quilts, Macybaby...my LQS just received a new shipment of KF...I'll be running down there when it's on the shelf.. I'm considering KF for Bring me Flowers pattern..

Anael....thanks for sharing link to quilting... So glad you are going to quilt this beauty... I finished another quilt top using the leftovers from snail quilt....so 2 quilts with one kit works for me!! Going to sandwich that and take to LA tomorrow.. Then....maybe Sunday, I'll start on Happy Birds if my other projects get done.

Here is Deliliah with the border on.

This was way out of my comfort zone, but I liked putting the blocks together. However when I started sewing them into groups, I was really not liking it.

But the more I got sewn together the better I liked it, and now with the border on, I like it a lot!

Now it gets added to my growing pile of floppies. I think I'm going to spend the long Thanksgiving weekend getting re-acquainted with my Handiquilter. I think it's been near 3 months since I did any quilting.
