I’m sure it is! What a beautiful piece of property...Teen, I saw a Bring Me Flowers quilt on display at a recent quilt show here in Maine and love it...although I said I wasn’t going to tackle another Jen Kingwell pattern for a while, I may have to buy the pattern. LOL

I have finally gotten the nerve to load my Long Time Gone on my new LA and will practice ruler work.

Anael, love your eye for photography and envious of your ability to capture nature.

Jmoore, your quilt is awesome. I have been quilting for quite a while, but I would never attempt a Kingwell quilt. You All impress me with your spectacular work.

Blue Bell, Long Time Gone is completely pieced, no appliqué and no strips like the Gypsy Wife. Just have a look at finished tops and you will see how it's done. Long Time Gone is really not hard to do.

Anael, I know, I probably have done all of these blocks at one time or another. Maybe some day. I am at the stage in my life that I need to do simple and quick quilts! But maybe if I see the book, I will buy it and become hooked on Jen Kingwell quilts.

Blue Bell, after having done the Gypsy Wife...and it taking more than a year...I thought I would not do another Jen Kingwell pattern. Guess what, I enjoyed Long Time Gone even more...besides, I did it as a monthly sew along with a Modern Quilt guild and it was easier to work a few blocks at a time.

jmoore, You are lucky to have a guild to sew along with making this quilt. I don't know of anyone in my area that is working on any Jen Kingwell quilts. I haven't even seen the patterns in the quilt stores. I like the Green Tea and Sweet Beans quilt, so maybe some day.

Jmoore..still loving your LTG...really gorgeous and a perfect quilt to practice on LA/ruler work. Lots of fun designs to play with... I have only seen one Being Me Flowers quilt up close and it was gorgeous. Like Happy Birds, there are a lot curved piecing in BMF but that's part of the challenge. So glad it inspired you to maybe give it a go. I have a few projects before I can get to that one...mainly the Gypsy Wife...and a couple of garden quilts that are all kitted up and ready. I hope by first of year....Anael said she might join me then...maybe you could join then too?

Blue Bell....join the fun... The GTSB is a blast to do....just one block at a time...one section at a time.
