    Thank you Cathy!
It's what I thought too, busy but not too. You still can identify the individual blocks and that's what I wanted.
I'm doing the Long Time Gone with wow background and bright focus fabrics.

Anael, Bravo, beautiful Gypsy Wife. Like MacyBaby, I think you have a wonderful balance. Look forward to seeing your next quilt.

Very fun thread! Love seeing all the hard work and fabulous creative choices of colors and patterns. You are some seriously skilled quilters here. I’m afraid I’m not skill ready for Jen Kingwell yet.......but love the free spirit feel to her designs.

    Hi Blueridgebeverly
Thanks for the compliments! Considering your avatar is a block you made you certainly can make a Jen Kingwell design. Just don't chose the hard ones....
IMHO Long Time Gone isn't a hard one to do!

So I like a good challenge. I’ll look at this as a long term project......one ‘chosen for easy’ block at a time. I ordered “Quilt Lovely” booklet and “That Fairy Tale Quilt” from Amazon. They should arrive mid-July. I’ll start inventory on fabric today. Any tips or suggestions for fabric patterns and colors? Or just go with the free spirit?
