Her patterns are a blend of applique and piecing. Which I really love.

Good for you, Judith!! So glad you got to run out today and shop a little. That pattern book has some adorable projects. Good filler projects for in between quilts. I have a mini I've been wanting to do but it's in Browns....I need to be in the right mood for Browns..lol.. You & I are piecing/applique lovers and Often our taste in patterns are the same....and colors.....lol!!

These are the final blocks for Section 3. This whole quilt pattern was designed for hand piecing and needle turn applique and this block was surely meant for hand piecing. I took a great deal of liberty with this block and made it my own version. I did a single solid background, I pieced the flower (one petal is Y-seamed), then I turned edged and applique'd it to background with stems and leaves. I did trapunto so I can really see these blooms poofy after I stitch in the ditch when quilting. I really like the results...cuz hand piecing? No flippin way... So section 3 is done and can be assembled to section 4. Section 1...here I come.

Awesome job! I love your varying shades of gray also. It makes those brights sing. And, I really like your take on the flowers. I love the middle striped one. The stripes fall perfectly. Can't wait to see more.

Thank you, ladies. I'm so pleased with how this is turning out. And, I'm really like the black and white checkerboard. Think it's a keeper. That striped fabric was a gift from a board member I received when I got home. A sweet surprise! She sent be 3 fat quarters of dots and stripes.... I whacked away at it immediately. Lol!

I stopped at a quilt shop yesterday that has a lot of Jen Kingwell items. Saw a quilt called "Delilah" (or something like that) that I loved that was done as a BOM and was told the pattern should be out soon.

They had a Gypsy wife with a piano type border that looked super nice. I bought Long Time Gone too.

Hi Macebaby!! I think I've seen Delilah.....like all Jen Kingwell quilts, very hard to determine the individual block.
The pattern is out and the templates for the blocks too. Just google it.
