Jen Kingwell blocks and finished quilts

Beautiful Teen and yes, they are perfect!!
What block would you replace them with?
No sorry, I have nothing to share right now. Maybe in the next few days as temps are dropping a bit now.

So thinking of what you said Teen I made a replacement. Not sure about it. I'm way out of my comfort zone with this one, more Jen like......all fabrics different except the strips in the centre. What do you think? Please be honest!! If you don't like it, say it please!!

These are all GBST blocks I have now. What do you think? I never thought the Jen Kingwell quilts would be a study of colours and composition. They look so straight forward!

Looking at them I might want to replace the pinwheel blocks.

I like your blocks Anael. That last one done in the pinks is one of my favorites.
Teen, it sounds like you had a wonderful chat with your siblings. Your new blocks are fun. I simply love pinwheel blocks.
I put off buying the GTSB's pattern for a few. I had no idea it was so expensive. On the flip side, it was a trade up, I ordered an Amazon kid Kindle for my granddaughter instead. Apparently, Emmy was being aggressive trying to steal her big sister's away. So, granny stepped in and ordered her one. I can get my pattern another time. After all, I want to start my Happy FLower quilt. And, I already have that pattern. I was a bad lady, I couldn't resist a stack of 12 repro fabrics that Hancock Fabrics had on clearance. They were only $19.99 for the stack of 12. "Treasures from the Attic". It had lots of blue. Really, I couldn't resist. At that price, 1.67 a fat quarter. That is cheaper then Joann Fabrics at 2.49 a fat quarter. And, the $4.99 shipping still made it affordable. 2.08 a fat quarter. For something I really loved!

Thank you!!
You go girl, you should have purchased a few stacks more
Here FQ's are over $ 4.00 and when at sale which is almost never still $ 2.50
So you're not bad, you're wise
Jen Kingwell patterns are expensive! That's why I'm putting off buying more LOL.

Here's Square Daisy. I appliqued the whole thing but I'm not sure that was a wise decision. It might have been just as much work as piecing the block. I just didn't want to cut all those template and sew all those curved seams!!

Anael, I love your daisy appliqued. That was a great design decision. Especially since this quilt is a blend of pieced and applique. It fits right in.
Yeah, I though about buying more, but, I really didn't need it. So, only bought what I was especially in love with. I'm trying to not grow out of the space I store my fabrics in. It's a great way for me to keep my stash at a manageable level. And, I am pretty sure, that I have way more then I need right now. I have to stop looking. lol And, sew faster.
