That FMQ is really something. I noticed she's doing it on the same machine I have, though I've never tried quilting with it. I really love what people have done with the large dahlia panel. I know I wanted to order some of them (they come in lots of colors) but don't know if I actually did. I've got lots and lots of panels waiting to be dealt with. Even a couple of Christmas ones I bought a few years ago that I should work on.

Looks like the roof is going to take all today and into tomorrow. I was hoping we'd get it done and I'd have Sunday to relax before going to back to work on Monday, but this section has valleys on both ends, an overhang and most of the vent pipes. And once we get this done, then we've got a lot of ridge cap to install.

Is the "BD" quilt Baker's Dozen? I have that pattern too and got as far as writing notes about how I wanted to construct it. At least that one is a lot of straight sewing. The Delilah has lots and lots of curves. I'm looking forward to that challenge!

Good luck with fixing what needs to be fixed Cathy!

BD is Bakers Dozen. Yes, all straight sewing, no curved piecing, no appliqué.

What to do with those panels? Doreen had Robert Kaufman Christmas tree panel that she quilted. Hmmm....

DH had to run to the hardware store this AM for more supplies, so I had time to finish up the first two blocks.

I am loving the bright colors! I think my green/orange background and blue/purple design is going to work.

When I am doing blocks that are large like this (12") I cut the outer pieces a bit oversized so I can trim them down so they are exactly 12.5" uf. Makes it easier when assembling as this pattern has 6", 9" and 12" blocks that all fit together.

DH is home, and I hear him up on the roof so I'd better get out there!

Macy, I think you hit it right with the color combo. Those blocks look great.
