On no Vadalia! I hate when that happens! I am going to try to cut at least some of my fabric these weekend. Lately I've been horribly busy at work and have been working extra time. I just haven't had much time to myself.
I may have another issue though... I received my second set of fabrics I bought for this project and now have to make a decision on which set to use. I like them both a lot... Decisions, decisions. Lol I did order a light blue to replace the gold i had originally picked out for this set of fabric and a couple goldish colors to try so if I do decide to use the second set of colors, I won't be able to cut out any of those anyway. But, considering my goofy schedule lately and Christmas here, I better get some done as the time comes available. Haha

you’re right. They do look alike. Sewbizgirl has the top part of the quilt right but something got turned around so her bottom row is different. The top row and bottom row should be the same. It’s 3 different nine patches alternating to form the pattern and I think sewbizgirl got some of hers turned around. Happens all the time on my trip from the ironing board to the machine.

Oh...I like both of those past MM quilts. The fabrics on both are so pretty. Well done!
I haven’t had time to tear into that kit and steal the fabrics yet. Just finished sandwiching and prepping 2 quilts for LA’er. I’m delivering them on Friday.... I have 2 quilt projects going right now...which is unheard of for me (eek!) but one is BH mystery so I needed something to do between clues. Tomorrow, baking day but I plan to work on this mystery and get these fabrics organized so I can share them and get you’alls input.

Thanks, sewbizgirl.. All your yellow squares should be coming on the diagonal from left to right. At the bottom left they are going from right to left. On the left side of your quilt you have way too many yellows in a row. There should only be four and the last square before the border should be a yellow. I didn’t save the pattern so I can’t be more helpful.

sewbizgirl, unfortunately I think you made the same mistake I did when I assembled the Around the Corner quilt. If you check the pattern, the very first diagonal is supposed to go downward from left to right & is supposed to be whichever colored diagonal block you have 6 of. If you check your quilt, the first one (the green) goes upward from left to right and yellow is actually the color you have 6 of. I made the same mistake and "fixed" mine by creating 2 more blocks to make a 6x6 pattern (in your case it'd be two more of the blocks with the green diagonals) Alternately, you could take off the bottom row, re-arrange the blocks, and make it the new top row which would still make it slightly different than the original pattern but would have the same overall secondary pattern (just the mirror image of it) Although all that sounds like more ripping than I'd want to put into it, since at that point you might as well just make a second quilt with the pattern instead lol
Sharongn, I do really like that pretty blue Fabric A in your second set. But I can understand why you might want to pick the first set if you have all the fabrics for it available to cut- gotta squeeze in those little fabric prep moments when you can! Some of the material also says she might be releasing a Step 2 around Christmas, so there might be even more cutting to do then! (I can't tell for sure that's meant for this year though, as it looks like on parts of her website the info from previous years is still showing so that might have been for another MQ)
