Wow...some really nice results and in-progress quilts!

I have cut the extra pieces to change my centre so I'll do that tomorrow.

This one was way more challenging than they have been in the past. I wonder what next year will be?

I think it's going to be nice!

I'm not nearly as far along as you are (man, you're fast!) But I'm wondering if my C is as fab as I would like. I'm going to take your lead and lay it all out (once I get thru it all) before assembly to see if C works or not. I like it fine, so far. We'll see.😁

I'm thinking my C isn't special enough to be the center. I may try A.

I wish there had been warning that fabric C was to be the focus fabric. In the initial instructions there was a comment to not let the other fabric outshine the focus fabric, but it didn't specify which one (A, B, C) was to be the focus fabric. Although, I know it's a mystery so.......

Here's my sister's Part 4. Next a break for letting the dog out, and my own bathroom time! lol And on to Part 5.
The blue and orange is beautiful! I like!

Note to self: As a quilter, it is my right to jack up a pattern to suit my needs. However, if you participate in a mystery, it is wise to select fabric that is light to medium when the instructions tell you to do so.

My top is totally reverse osmosis. As a result, I am modifying the pattern enough that the recipient at the shelter does not vomit. Jus saying....

Sharon, exactly my thought-- I'd have liked to know that fabric C was going to get so much attention,

I didn't like how my components looked when I laid them out. I guess I used the wrong fabric for my chevron blocks? Anyway, the star in the middle was all wrong. I'll have to make the top all over again someday to get it right-- it's not going to be this one, that's for sure!! This is my agreement with you, Teen, on your last post....

Here's my part 6 and my sister's part 6. Hers is really looking great to me. She's done for the day. I'm going to sew a bit more.

So is the general consensus for those changing the middle medallion to change all 5 of the center stars' squares & leave the variable stars on the border w/ the C fabric intact? Like most of you, I thought the Fabric A would be highlighted in the middle & echoed in the borders. My Fabric C is definitely too mundane to make the focus of the whole quilt. Luckily for me, since I tapped out to go to bed once she did the reveal & am still on Part 3's Variable Stars, that would work out perfectly for me.

Everyone's in-progress quilts look so cool! After so long looking over the various fabric groups & choices, it's awesome to see them in action.
