QM, I can't seem to find the photo of the wedding dress. Is it some pages back?
Patrice, congratulations on all those finishes -- that is major pile reduction! I love the log cabin! Here is some photos. Also on the pictures section, I posted it there as well. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t285945.html Thank you all. |
Now MCM, that is adorable. I don't cross stitch and you did wonderfully.

Good finish Rob, we have to start somewhere.

My February UFO is finished. I started this orange thingy last year. My goals for this project: practice (just make something and relax), use bday candy (2.5" squares), try a pattern I haven't done before (D9P), quilt it myself (stop quilting by check).
Practice and relax. Practice accomplished. Relax? See below. I used 48 candy squares. Needless to say, I could cover my city with how many I have left. D9P was fun, trying out different arrangements. Quilt it myself...almost failed this one. I wanted to do free motion flames, but was close to a conniption fit (not relaxed) in the process. A little reverse sewing and it was headed for the mail for someone else to deal with!!! Lots of slow, deep breathing and calming tea (relax)...I quilted it using straight lines and my walking foot. Then...the chaco wouldn't come off of the white areas (not relaxed). This almost went into the trash!!! I tried magic eraser. No luck. Carpet cleaner and 2 washings later, it came out. A good strong pressing and now it's done! And good riddens!! (very relaxed) |
Fraew I really like your quilt the colours are lovely. I quilt all my own quilts and always intend to be ambitious with the design but usually end up with walking foot straight or curving lines or heart/vine meander. One day.

Thanks for the link, QuilterMomma. That dress truly is amazing.
Fraew, I know we can all relate to those feeling of tension and frustration when machine quilting, LOL. But you persisted and it looks great. I love the striped binding. |
