Conchalea, I really like the pattern of your topper. Does it have a name or dimensions anywhere on the net that I can find? Or, what size do your snowball and bird blocks finish out at?

Nice little topper, Judith. I guess I should get the camera out and take some pictures. I always forget till I finish up.

Have run into a little glitch with the quilt I am quilting for a friend, have to do some unstitching and repositioning.

Judith1005 01-13-2019 08:31 AM

Unstitching is no fun Gran. Sorry you have to do that. I hope it goes fast and you can move on.

I'm so envious of all you are all doing. I cannot wait to unpack my stuff soon and get busy.

All your projects are wonderful!

Unstitching was minimal, fixed and finished. Am going to load a large quilt for my friend, and then I can go back to my baskets for month 3 of this BOM. I bought it all as a kit in its entirety, except backing, of course. I think I'll be able to find backing in my stash.

Judith, the WH is 'Round the Twist & the link I used for the pattern is here.

In person the links don't show up as well as they do in the picture. It didn't have as much contrast as I wanted so I didn't make it any larger.

Thank you Conchalea. I will definitely watch the contrast. I just think it's a great pattern for focus prints.

My thoughts exactly! I fussy cut the cardinals but sort of missed on the snowmen.

Pulled out some fabric a couple days ago and counld't decide on a quick pattern. It just hit me: disappearing 9 patch. So I'm off.

I must really be in ( Moratorium mode) I had to order some fabric for two different projects and seemed almost anxiety attack state- I hated having to spend money on the fabric but there was no way around it- one fabric was 3 yards of black for a test pattern and the other was a novelty print (Sloths- who has Sloths in their stash????)
Even though I had to shop I didn’t look at sales or anything I just found what I needed & left, so still doing good. I’m going to continue working on taming my scraps and try to pass some on. Even though my shelves are showing signs of improvement those scrap bins seem to just get bigger and bigger. I used all scraps for my Bonnie Hunter ( Good Fortune quilt) and just created more scraps. .....
