I'm joining! I spent 8 days cleaning my sewing room starting on New Year's Day. I donated 5 bags of stuff, threw out a ton, and sold a bunch of precuts I didn't want.
The only thing I bought so far is some Belle & Boo fabric to make a quilt for my granddaughter. It is the sweetest fabric- made in the UK. I found a US seller on Etsy. I'm going to fussy cut the little characters.
But other than that I'm not buying!!!!!!!

Welcome, Suzie. I bought a yard of fabric today. Northcutt marbled or brushstrokes are a staple for me. I was down to three inches of my hot pink, so I picked up a yard. Hobby Lobby sells it for $9.99 - I used a 40% off coupon, so I was out the door for $6. Some of it may go o the back of my Merry Mayhem quilt, so it will be used, not stored.

I’m in a mess of trouble. A quilt shop just opened on Main st. In my small community. The good news is that I don’t have to travel outside the valley( 10 mins away) the bad news is....the inconvenience kept me from visiting shops outside the valley. Lol... So, I stopped to check it out yesterday...it’s a cool shop and is catering to all types of crafts. A separate section for painting, quilting, embroidery, cross-stitch, knitting etc. not much yet for quilting but they have shelves set up so I can see the inventory will be vast. She was kind enough to ask me what types of fabrics I prefer and designers etc. crap! I didn’t buy anything...yet...

Pat if you are worried about OVER shopping...leave your purse in the trunk of your car!

Welcome, Patg and SusieQOH.

Irishrose2: I will need to check out the Northcott marbles and brushstrokes.

Teen: Have fun checking in on the progress of the new quilt store. 🙂

petthefabric: Wahoo to electricity!

Teen, if the new quilt shop is close enough, maybe you can just think of it as the annex where you store your stash...

Connie, the pink is from the Earth Series. The marble looking ones are Stonehenge. I used the Artisan line with a touch of gold in a quilt, too. Such silky fabric!

Irishrose2: Thanks. I looked them up and they are pretty.

I finished my top for the Color Blocks monthly pattern by Debby Brown quilts. I made a backing for it too. I usually donate almost all of my tops to my church group because that’s where most of the fabric comes from anyway. However, this one is calling out to me because of it’s brightness. 🤷‍♀️ I will eventually decide if it stays or goes.

70” by 80” for the top plus the 80” by 88” backing = around 8.5 yards. Wahoo. Plus all of the small scraps that weren’t saved after I took as many 2.5” squares as I could from the fabric.

Picture is sideways on my iPad. Oops.
