Thank you, Dottie!
My first block made to test my background. The solid sage blue will be used for background throughout. I am using my vast collection of Tilda fabrics, which includes a variety of striped toweling I plan to use as some blenders. Directional fabric will probably drive me nuts but I like the look of stripes with the florals in Tilda. Now I’m excited... |

That's going to make a lovely quilt, Teen! I love a solid colored background.

Great background Teen. That's going to look wonderful.

Looks great, Teen. Love the striped fabric.

Teen, those stripes give me an idea. Several years ago I bought 1/2 yard chunks of assorted striped fabric for a possible border idea, but then changed my mind. Might be a fun challenge to see what I can do with them on this sampler.
I've thought of some different fabric options but so far nothing had really caught my interest. |
Thank you, everyone!! I am so excited. My first colored background!
Macybaby....I love love love striped borders and/or binding. I will likely do a striped border. I didn’t have enough for border for this quilt without buying more so went with a different layout. I’m a charged up for this!! You’ve got a few more days to decide on fabric... keep digging! |
Still no inspiration. I may need to take a wander through a shop to get some ideas. I have lots of potentials but nothing that is really making my heart sing. I know the clock is ticking. I can hear it ...... tick, tick, tick or may be it is the crocodile chasing Captain Hook again. https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/wink.png Peter, Peter where are you?

I’m in. I enjoy reading the books by this author. I will need to check out the book from the library to read while I work on the first months worth of blocks. I Just ordered the pattern book. Expect it here within 2 weeks. About the time you start the sewing of the blocks. I just bought some FQ’s, so my plan will be to pick from them after I get the book. I figure using 1-3 different background colors, pending how much I will need. I have a few questions? Did we decide on how many blocks we plan to complete in a months time?
In the mean time, I will work on 2 projects I need to get done by my mid month for guild meeting. And hopefully get my BHMQ = Grassy Creek blocks together before I really get into this project. |
