Wow DeneK! That looks great. I like how you changed the joining/sashing fabric for the main quilt and the borders.

Nice quilts DeneK & Bev. I've almost finished mine & hope to post a picture of the finished product within the week.

I joined this group (at least in my head) when I saw what you were doing because I had a bunch of blocks that I had made into crazy blocks but using my started or half finished blocks as the base of each block.
Here is my QAYG without borders yet. Hope to finish it completely this week. I wanted to add that I made my blocks a bit wonky, so you can see cut off edges of 9 patches. It is because I just kept adding to the block using scraps of fabric til they were over 16" square and then trimmed them down. |
justflyingin--this is a very colorful quilt! Great job getting it all together. :)

DeneK...your ladies look so prim and proper. You've done a beautiful job.
Justflyingin...what a creative way to use orphan blocks. I really like how it turned out. |
justflyingin - I love you quilt. I have been doing large scrappy squares for the women at our church. Now I might try to put one together using the QAYG method. Thanks for the inspiration.

these quilts are beautiful !! Isn't QAYG fun and satisfying???
I am still trying to get back into the groove of quilting again. Been busy working on commissioned work for extra $$. |
Justflyingin, love what you did with your blocks & love the backing too! Very Nice.
