Thimblebug yours turned out beautiful! I hope to get to work on mine over the next week, not sure how large I will be making. Finally finished and delivered the wedding quilt I had been working on so now I can get back to this one.

Beautiful, Thimblebug... Mine is sandwiched and in the queue for quilting.

For the border I decided to add one line of blocks so the white centers ended on one white square. I also just sewed until the 2 1/2 inch squares was close to depleted. I didn't know I had so many scrap squares! I have now completed this throw size, and a queen size. I'm pretty sure I have enough blocks left to make a baby quilt as well. I have one quilt in front of these to quilt then will get to the sandwiching and quilting as soon as I find a pattern to quilt.

That's awesome, Erin! Would love to see the quilts when you quilt them.

Erin, I love your border idea and hope you don’t mind if I steal it from you...I have about 3 or 4 more of the scrappy blocks to assemble and another dozen of the background blocks but I have not seen my sewing room in about a month.

jmoore I hope you get into your sewing room soon. I get cranky after a few days of not sewing:)

Checking-in and admiring all of the beautiful IC photos of late! I, too, have been out of my sewing room for weeks and do not anticipate much sewing time for the next few weeks either. In the meantime, I’m enjoying everyone else’s beautiful work! Thank you for sharing your pics

My quilt has been on a bit of hold for the last couple weeks. I had some frog stitching that took a lot of time. Problem with the 1500s has now been repaired and first row on the frame moved along just great. Stitch regulator died so this is all free motion with my own two hands as the regulator. I had to finish up a couple other projects before I can come back and finish this project. Recall the men's group tunics? I just finished the last 10 of them this morning. We made 84 all together!
I also have a couple swap projects that I needed to attend to. The plan is to go back to this quilt tomorrow or Monday. I almost started back on it today until I noticed the time. I like to do my sewing in the morning and then spend the rest of the day with DH.
On top of that I finished another quilt top just for me. I also am working a demo for my quilt guild. It is not going as well as I would like either. I have to have an even 8 sides of an octagon to demo. I can make great circles but that is not what I expected I would be doing. So for now I am rolling out all kinds of trivets. Of course I can use them as gifts, just not for this project.
So tomorrow after Church I am going to work on my Double Irish Chain in a hope to get it quilted and ready for binding. Who knows the binding may be started by tomorrow evening.

Did something a little different and went with a blue instead of black or white. It's bright for sure but it's done and ready to quilt. Second pic is another one that I got finished with those cute 2 1/2" squaresThis quilt a long used up some of mine, need about 4 more projects to use more of those squares:)
