wildyard how do you post here I couldn't find it when I posted my UFO's for Jan. or Feb. |
Iris, Would you have meant that you use an 1 1/2 or 2 1/2" x 8" strip for the center of each square? I'm pretty sure you didn't mean just 1/2" as it would not show after taking our 2 seams. I can't guess by looking how wide that center strip is.
Hugggggs and smilessss and thanks for sharing! |
How do you book mark it, and how would I find it again? could I repost my pitures here? Even if I put them somewhere else first?

To go to it again, select "My Bookmarks" from the headings at the top of each page, and it will open a list of the pages you have bookmarked. Click the title of the one you want to see again, and it will take you to that page. As far as I know you can repost photos in more than one thread. I have done so and no one has said anything to be about not doing it. Hugs, smilessss, and good luck. |

You start with a 6 inch square of fabric, then cut in half diagonally to make two triangles. Stitch these on either side of a 1/2 inch strip (about 8 inches long or so) and iron it. Using the acrylic ruler, trim the square to 6 inches, aligning the diagonal line on the ruler with the center of the strip. Repeat the process for however many squares you want. (I find a baby quilt usually takes 6 rows of 8 squares i.e. 48 squares). It is a great way to use scraps and I usually just make some squares when I have leftover fabric and put the squares in a box. When the box is full, I make the quilt (unless of course I forget all about it and then it becomes a UFO!!! It is a great quilt for children! Happy quilting!! :D |
