was cruising around board, and came upon this post, and decided to check out quiltville.com.
I can't say enough about this lady. Her first name is Bonnie, I was so distracted by all her quilts, etc. can't recall her last name.
She is a massage therapist, a long arm quilter, she belongs to a quilting group, sing in her choir, enters contests, makes more than a quilt a month...many...donates to charities, has her own website to keep up...whew!!! But you should see her quilts!
There is something there for everybody. She is very scrappy, but the variety in colors and designs would get anybody's creative wheels turning. I am not usually a 'scrappy' person, but so impressed with her stuff, I might have to be on occasion. She has one quilt, she made, with 10,000 pieces! You want a treat, or need some inspiration...CHECK THIS LADY OUT!

Hello to everyone. I am new to the site and have enjoyed reading all of the postings. I started quilting 6 years ago when I became a Realtor. I give a lap quilt, or table runners (3 seasons) or wall hangings to those clients purchasing a home through me as their house warming present. When they are blessed with a new baby, I also make a baby quilt for the new family member. I love the new ideas or short cuts that are shared.
As for the quilt challenge, what a great idea! I have made several Log Cabin quilts from my own scraps. One of my favorite sites is Quilterscache.com - Marcia Hohn's web site. Blocks galore....will check out quiltville, as it seems to be a popular site.

I started this thread in 2007. It is good to see it is still getting people interested in using up scraps!
My personal challenge for 2009 is 2 fold.
1) Finish as many UFOs as I can
2) Make charity quilts using as much of my scraps as possible, but stash is not off limits. I have wanted to send quilts to Quilts4Kids for a few years now, and finally am getting them ready to mail
I am also including MontanaQuilter's request for quilts in my charity challenge.
Hope to see lots of others challenging themselves this year too! With the economy in bad shape, giving from what I have to those who need by using what I already have paid for seems like a good thing to do.

i love your challenge - I have already finished one UFO in 2009 and my personal challenge is to finish or work on one UFO before each new project I undertake. that way hopefully I will crank out a few more UFOs before the year is out!
Happy sewing!

Just found this thread while browsing. This is a quilt I made for BIL. It is made from recycled shirts. He just LOVES it. It's called an Australian Bush Quilt.

2k...I have a quilt from that pattern.
I saw it on a site somewhere and searched and searched for the pattern but couldn't find it. So, what do I do? I tell a friend.
Next thing I know.....I'm the proud owner of a beautiful quilt!
