Gorgeous blocks, Jan! Yes, it's been a little quiet in this thread. But we got an easy block this week so I think we'll see some soon. I've been consumed with working on my Boom blocks, as the new Boom swap has just begun. I'm also still making pony quilt blocks. I'll get to my R & R block 14 soon.

Thanks for both the compliments and a fast response! I had my computer worked on and I was afraid something got screwed up. I then went to the section here for tech support and it told me to resign up for the news letter. When I tried it kept sending an error message. I just gave up and then your notification came in, so I guess my computer is OK now! Can't believe I was the first to post my block this week.
I do hope others are making blocks. (No slackers allowed! ) I love seeing what they look like in all the different fabrics.

I am pretty sure I have them done but can not find where I put the pictures in my computer. In the meantime I had friends stay over for a week and not much quilting happened.

I'm talking about the block that came yesterday morning. If you had company you probably have not had time to make it yet.

Jan I love your blocks the one looks like it has shadows of color. Very pretty and interesting looking. Here is my block I just finished it. Had to run to town yesterday and do errands, No sewing done after. The nearest town is 15 miles away. I'm way out in the country on a farm. At my age I get so tired by the time I get back. I wanted to get this done before the new Summer Picnic block is emailed tomorrow. Thanks everyone for taking the time to post pictures and comment.

I made some ahead of time anticipating summer being busy. I normally do not use the pattern.

lawsonmugs those colors are stunning. Red, white, blue and brown have really grown on me over the last couple of years. My friends have to laugh because I used to dislike brown but now I am always on the lookout to buy some especially Civil War browns.

Number 13 in both civil war and Fresh Lilacs. I'm having to pin everything to get it to come out.
