It's beautiful Barb. I love the fabrics.

Hey, orphaned blocks make nice pillows.

Beautiful Constellation block, Barb... are you doing your quilt in a red/white/blue theme? Your blocks are gorgeous so far. It won't take long for you to get caught up.

Thanks! No, not in patriotic. I am just trying to follow the same coloring as the original blocks. Some are better than others.

I'm finally getting this week's block made. When I went to pull up the pattern, I didn't have it! I must have deleted the email without downloading. It's ok tho... I figured it out from the picture.

In order not to have the little 1" seamed pieces around your geese, you have to cut "chisels". You would make them like you make a 2.5" hst, only extend one side by 1". Comes out perfect. Chisels are not reversable like HSTs, so remember they will make lefts and rights. If you have your fabric stacked with wrong sides together when you cut them, you will get your lefts and rights automatically. Just in case anyone who hasn't made the block yet would like to try it...

I can see why Debbie had those sides pieced, tho. She would have had to give templates for the chisel pieces, and she's not doing the QAL with templates.
