got my top done. Halfway through I saw that I made a mistake in the sashing rows, but no way was I going to redo it, so decided it would be my own spin on this project. I am going to get a back on it and finish it up while it is still at the top of my mind.

Another week and slowly chipping away at it. Several more brown sashing strips to sew together before I strip sew & cut the setting triangles and start sewing the rows together. I sewed the top corner together & think I'm going to like the brown much better than the coral, but am making myself stop til I get all the sashing strips sewn & on the design wall before I go any further w/the row sewing...

Your block looks good, Sync. Keep plugging!
Maminstl, looking good too. I like your colors, especially how the pink adds so much interest in the quilt. It draws my attention and keeps me looking around the quilt. Sashings just look like your own 'take' on the design. Very pretty.
Auntjo, your brown sashings look good. I like all the possibilities you have up on the wall.

maminstl, that's very beautiful, and I agree with sewbizgirl about the interest the pink brings to the mix.
auntjo, the brown sashing looks great. The blending of the sashing with the outer area of the block creates a completely different effect.

Great progress guys. I am crawling along (have gotten side tracked a few times) I am down to only having 3 blocks left to assemble. I was really hoping to be further along before I got the boom fabric, but that isn't going to happen, so we'll see how committed I can remain.

I love your colors and fabrics, maminstl! It definitely has movement!
Aunt Jo, your browns look so warm and inviting! Lovely.
I don't want to seem as a newbie or "inexperienced quilter" but Wow! This is a pretty tough quilt if I am going to be honest! The blocks are easy but the sashing and on point needs care! Now I remember why I don't do much on point settings. Well, regardless, here is my first corner. I have a long way to go, but at least I am not letting become a UFO.

Looking good NZ. I like your choice if blue sashing and neutral setting triangles.

It looks like you have another winner there, NZquilter! The neutral setting triangles look charming.
