I did do a traditional binding 2.25" sewn to the front and hand sewn down to the back. Thank you for the compliment though

One really early morning we were heading back to our station after a very long night and we were driving though the country to get back to Muskogee. It was extremely foggy, but the fog was a dusky pink, it was amazing, I have never seen anything like it before or since, pink air everywhere and the dark silhouette of trees and fences and cattle. Anyway your quilt reminds me of that drive.

Did anyone else read Bonnie’s blog yesterday for the last link-up. She said she loves people who take her mysteries and make them their own. And posted picturrs of quilts with design changes. So we can thumb our noses at the quilt police attempts next year if we wish. But we are all above such actions aren’t we?

Quiltermomma, I love yours. Sunrise through the sea smoke on the big lake, when the world turns pink

Thank you ladies, I so appreciate the compliments. I think this one will hang on my wall for awhile. Glad I had the fabrics in the scrap bins and fat quarter bins. A couple pieces were from my leftovers from backing fabrics. Will do the teal blue for binding. It is cut and ready to go once I get to quilt. Need to get some tops quilted and bound for UFO Challenges.

I don't think I've ever been so glad to be done putting a top together. I did a lot of ripping getting those sashings lined up. I will trim tomorrow and then have fun trying some border ideas.
