NZquilter, congratulations on your finish, it looks great.

I'm still in the turtle brigade ..... lol ...... 12 blocks done so far ...... although I do have a fantastic excuse for being sooooo slow with this ......... my daughter and son-in-law informed us in Feb. that, she is pregnant! I'm going to be a Grandma.

Congrats on the coming grandbaby, Sync! I wish I'd get some news like that too.

I've waited for years with two married kids, me wanting grandchildren. Can't tell you how many quilts and dolls I've made for them in preparation. Now my son tells me that by the time they start their family they want to be living in Iowa so their kids can grow up around all their little cousins. AAAAHH! Life is cruel....

NZ, congrats on that beautiful finish! I just got done spray basting my Ringo Lake, and have it draped over the railing to dry out completely. So soon I hope to be back on here with a photo of a finish too!

It's great to see more ORL blocks being made and shared, Jmoore, D.Henson and Sync!

Sync, I'm so excited for you! Nothing as joyful as having a new baby around for spoiling!

Sewbiz, maybe once your kids start their families they will realize how important grandparents are and will choose to stay near you. I know you have been wanting grandchildren! We have been living three hours away from DH's parents because of his job, but we are really excited to be moving closer at last. I get a babysitter!! (Never had one yet!)

So gorgeous, NZquilter! I love the blue sashing units, and the zigzag border is wonderful.

Yes, it can. My MIL was a real female dog in her younger years. Once she got into late dementia she forgot that she hated me and brought out the polite company manners! Just the opposite of most personality changes, I hear. I'm sorry that you had unpleasantness from your DM.

Thanks everyone for the congratulations. It is exciting thinking that this August there will be a new little one added to the family. Now, if only, my daughter and son-in-law would move closer to us .......................... (not going to happen). They live in Hawai'i and we live in Arizona. ~ sigh ~

Sync: Great news about your grand baby!! Hopefully you can spend a few weeks in Hawaii when the baby comes. What island does your daughter live on? Mine moved to Oahu last August. Military husband. I sure hope they are back in CA when they decide to have a baby.

Hi Denise, my daughter lives on Oahu too. She went to the University of Hawai'i and has never left.
