On Ringo Lake -- Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt 2017-18
#701
We rewire as a team and we have learnt to always rewired and serviced the whole thing. Our first time we didn't think the inside of the motor needed it and we started a small fire in the housing-- oops! Another time we did a complete rewire but didn't clean the carbon off the amateur and it didn't work. We learned our lessons the hard way and now I don't let my DH skip any steps along the way.

I am working on my clue 2. These units are so cute. I think doing the Bonnie Hunter Mysteries has made me a better piecer.
And scroll down not a guess so much as wanting to see how my colors look together. I put the units one and two next to each other.

Pagzz, I love your "guess" option! It looks really "Bonnie Hunter-ish". You could make an entire quilt like that.

I love those delicate neutrals, Pagzz! I agree, your color combo is beautiful, and that layout is very pretty.

For vintage machine parts I always use Sew Classic.com I replace the foot pedals with solid state ones but keep the original for re-sale. I give them a good clean up, there is a site on here or on youtube. I have never had a problem with the internal wiring but looked them over well before buying. Flawed wiring is a big no no for me. Greasy gunk, old threads, jammed parts, stinky smell can all be taken care of safely.

Love your colors, Pagzz... It will be a pretty quilt.
I've just finished cutting for my geese, and will sew this afternoon. This is my lunch break at the computer!

I have this fabric I was going to use for one of the melons but now I am second guessing the choice. What do you think? Too much white? Excuse the shadow of my shoulder.

I Really don't like making FG this small! But at least using the 4 at a time method helps a bit with frustration. I tried using the easy angle rulers for Easy Street and talk about dysfunctional geese! No way those babies could fly straight.
This time by cutting a smidge larger and then trimming, I'm doing a lot better. I've gotten all the squares cut and the smaller ones marked. Now to get sewing. Only 96 more to go!

Alastitcher, I always go by the background color and ignore the rest. (though I am still learning about value using the black and white photo technique.) . Jenny Beyer claims all quilts should have some black in them, and all her fabric has a touch of black. I say go for it!
