Yes, I hope so! It might make a good naptime quilt.

Enjoy seeing what everyone is up to so far.

Christine, your quilt is going to be bright and delightful...I like the dark print you are using for the chain. I’m thinking of a similar layout but with red.

SBG, your I spy idea is awesome and you are always so thoughtful with your donations...you are an inspiration. I wish I had more time to quilt so that I would be able to donate more often.

I finished my top... just child's sized, about 50" square. It only took less than 24 hours to put this together because I had all the squares pre-cut.

Super, duper cute! This will surely make a youngster very happy

How will you quilt it? I think you said this is a donation donation quilt so you'll probably do something simple. For mine, I've been looking at some pretty circular feathers for the background blocks. I better get practicing now because I'm not so good at FMQ

Last weekend was our Guild's Quilt Show. I put out signs and name badges. Glad that's over. My poor planning caused me extra work. Will I do it again? Probably not, although I have experience that would make my job easier. For now I'm recovering by quilting.

For the Irish Chain, At the show I found a bright magenta print to make the secondary chain. Used 30"s fabric (which has been in my stash maybe 30 years) for the other blocks. The white also comes from my stash. Even have sufficient 30's for the back.

Yesterday finished cutting everything, 5 25 patches, the other 25 patches are in rows, ready to complete. I should be able to complete the top today. Then I'll do the work of posting a pic.

Thanks! I will probably just do a cross hatch, or maybe only on the colored squares and then some design in the big white spaces. Circular feathers or flower would be pretty, but I don't want the quilt limited to just going to a girl. I need to find a design a boy would like too. Maybe stars?
