Quilter Momma I love your quilts, especially the chicken one!

I forgot and posted a finished UFO on another thread, but this is one I finished in Jan and for some reason the picture never showed up. This one is called Bird Haven by A Graceful Stitch. I also finished A Graceful Baltimore by A Graceful Stitch in Jan, will post a photo of it after I get another picture of it.

I love seeing all the projects everyone is finishing. I got sidetracked by making quilted postcards, think I am back on track.

Wow, that is lovely. You did nice piece and applique work. how pretty. Love the little zinger you added. That takes time to do those. Keeping it from getting off skew is hard. Again, very lovely.

I finished these before the migraines hit. That is why they got done. I finally remembered to take the photos of them to put on to show everyone. This is why I love this group, we can share each others accomplishments. it just makes it so worth while. I know the self gratification of finishing something is there, but when you get to share it, that is so worth the effort. Now, you want to see what I really need to get done that has been sitting there for four years?

I'm so glad that you got 'em done! Before or after. I too love seeing everyone's work. I look forward to seeing what everyone finished. It helps me stay on track. I've put aside my Solar System quilt until I take the FMQ part of my Machine Quilting class. I'm making a 6 Hour quilt for my apprentice. (I don't know what else ta call her.) She moved to be close to her fiance. They are expecting a baby so I'm gonna make her a baby quilt. Those 6 hour quilts take me much longer than 6 hours, more like 2 or 3 weeks. I can't wait ta post it.

PS that black & red is going to be great!

My grandma used to have a hen house. We would have to watch that rooster because he was protective. My aunt used to butcher the chickens. Was funny watching them jump all around when their heads were cut off. That is where the phrase came from. LOL

Have great memories of all the above. My Mom dressed old hens for the towns people to buy so I have seen lots of chicken running around with their heads cut off.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I know that words can't express how you feel. I'm so glad that you are going to be quilting. It was very therapeutic for me. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have quilting. We're looking forward to seeing your quilts!
