UFO Challenge of the Month 2012
#1051
I finished the last 3 blocks for the UFO wedding quilt. Now all I have to do is add the sashing and then layer, quilt and bind. LOL, all.....
I also got a lot of the squares cut for the beach quilt. 332044[/ATTACH

I am glad for this challenge, it is helping me keep on track also. So far, stats time, Of the 130 and more ufos I have, my goal is the 120 for year, 10 a month, and now have completed 41 for the year so far. I am so happy that I am on track. This can only get better, but will be more intense because some of the projects have little 1.5" blocks that need to be sewn. And then some have diamonds, yes, 1.5". What was I thinking? Oh yeah, show quilts thats what it was. I just may have to dig those out so can have them ready for quilt shows. Hmmmm there's an idea, that i after the 30s ones that are taking me forever it seems. Ugh, I do not like log cabins.
now I will come up with a list of to dos for May in the next day or two, you already know those 30s are still on there and then I have to do Shekenah's quilt or she may have a complete fit at me. I also have a few fall ones that might be pretty, but have to check out the status of cutting and if hand healed up by then. There are still those five applique quilts to be quilted hanging htere looking at me saying pick me, I would look pretty in a show.

Ok - I don't know if this counts as a UFO as it is a BOM for 2012. But I just got the blocks caught up so they are not in my pile of to dos anymore.
I love all the finishes on the site. Quiltermomma- you are amazing.

Boy, it must have been loud on here while I was gone!!
Bells and whistles all the time.
Congrats on all the great finishes.
BarbEllen and Wildyard......nice blocks. Congrats on getting all the blocks done. Post another pic when the project is finished.
QuilterMomma, you've been really busy.I like your sampler quilt and the puff one is perfect for a baby but my favorite is the Laura Heine's florals with the beautiful blue sashings.
Bev, your solar system quilt is awesome. My nephew would love that one.
Ann, I like your pinwheel quilt .......the quilting is beautiful.
Sandy, I like your unique take on the Barn-Raising pattern with the stars included in the pattern.
missgigglewings, lovely colors in the bear paw quitl. Neat idea to use the offset blue blocks to make it a bigger quilt.
Fraew...I adore your Lion and Lamb quilt.
It would make a great wall hanging for the month of March.
I will have to keep that in mind for next year.
Are those Drunkard's Path blocks?
I am almost finished quilting the last top. I had 8 or 9 from last summer and fall and started quilting them during the winter. It feels good to be on the last one. Then I can get to piecing again...that's my favorite part. Not fussy about actual quilting.
